However, Rudger then speeds up the process and is able to summon his Earthbound God, Uru. Thankfully, Jack arrives on time and forms a barrier around the children to stop their souls being sacrificed. Rudger then reveals that not only was he an assistant to Yusei’s father, but is also Goodwin’s brother and the one responsible for the Zero Reverse incident. Yusei manages to deflect an attack from Uru’s attack, but it hits a building Takuya, Martha and Trudge were hiding in. In the process of rescuing Takuya, Martha falls into the flames of the geoglyph and her soul is fed to the Earthbound God. Yusei summons Stardust Dragon and takes note of the fact that whilst Earthbound Gods can’t be stopped with traps, magic or monsters, they can’t be used to defend either. Rudger manages to avoid being attacked, but then he swaps himself out with Rally, who sacrifices himself by synchro summoning One Shot Cannon and beating Uri. With life points at zero, Rally disappears.
